The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights attended the Kossuth and Széchenyi State Awards, as well as the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic awards ceremony at the Dome Hall of the House of the Hungarian Parliament on 20 August 2021.

On 5 August 2021, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights paid a visit to the Assisted Living Centre for the Elderly of the “Gondoskodás” Social Care Centre of Győr-Moson-Sopron County in Csáfordjánosfa. The Ombudsman was received by Mária Németh Szabóné, Head of Institution.

On 5 August 2021, Dr. Ákos Kozma paid a visit to the Special Home for Children of the Child Protection Centre, Territorial Child Protection Service and Primary School of Komárom-Esztergom County.

In the framework of the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture (OPCAT) National Preventive Mechanism (NPM), the Ombudsman paid a visit to the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Prison on 29 July 2021, where he was received by Prison Major General, Prison Senior Counsellor János Schmehl, Deputy Commander for Security and Incarceration of the Hungarian Prison Service Headquarters and Prison Colonel, Prison Counsellor, acting commander of the institution József Kárdási.

Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma paid an official visit to the Debrecen Headquarters of the North Great Plain Regional Directorate of the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing on 29 July 2021, where he was received by Police Colonel, Head of the Directorate of the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing Dr. Szilvia Konyhás and Police Colonel, head of the institution Zsolt Harhai.

On 29 July 2021, Dr. Ákos Kozma paid an official visit to the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Headquarters, where he was received by Police Brigadier General, Senior Police Counsellor, Honorary Associate Professor, County Police Chief Dr. József Gyurosovics and Police Colonel, Senior Police Counsellor, Deputy Police Chief for Crime Zoltán Sebestyén.
