Ombudsman Visits Nógrádszakál–Ráróspuszta Border Crossing Point

On 2 February 2021, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights paid a visit to the Nógrádszakál–Ráróspuszta border crossing point, accompanied by Director of Police Complaints of the OCFR Dr. Domonkos Wildner, Police Counsellor, Police Lieutenant-Colonel Sándor Zahorecz, Director of Law Enforcement of the Nógrád County Police Headquarters and Deputy Chief of County Police, and Police Lieutenant-Colonel László Knyazoviczki, Head of Border Police Subdivision of the Law Enforcement Division of the Szécsény Police Department.

Dr. Ákos Kozma Visits Balassagyarmat Border Crossing Point

On 2 February 2021, at the border crossing point between Balassagyarmat (Hungary) and Slovenské Ďarmoty (Tótgyarmat, Slovakia), the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights was informed about all those measures that had been adopted in connection with ensuring the smooth flow of traffic in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Dr. Ákos Kozma Takes Part in Online Discussion with Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe

On 1 February 2021, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma attended an online meeting with Dunja Mijatović, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe. During the more than one-hour discussion, the Ombudsman informed the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe about the priority tasks of the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights and the extension of its competences, before moving on to discuss the current situation of the enforcement of fundamental rights.
